My Story

In 2015 my life absolutely changed when my beloved 10-month-old daughter Aliyah suddenly passed away. The impact of this loss drove me to turn my pain into purpose. In 2020 I founded RiseTogether, LLC with a mission to provide resources, encouragement, and support to families impacted by the loss of a child/sibling.

As I reflected on my healing journey, this prompted the release of my children's book titled "Aliyah's Missing Teddy Bear!" along with the companion Positive Perspectives Activity Book. I knew that if I was going to write anything, it would have to be a message of hope. A story that not only speaks to the young reader but also has a message for adults hidden in all of the text and colorful illustrations. I do pray that my books are a blessing to you and your family.

Aliyah's Missing Teddy Bear! & The Positive Perspectives Activity Book for Children is dedicated to my late daughter Aliyah Danyell Bing.

My New Release Finding the Light Within is a journal to help you find hope after loss. It is a resource to heal broken hearts and an opportunity to go on a journey of reflection, self-care, and spiritual wholeness.

What I believe:

  • We must break the silence associated with child loss.

  • There is power in community building. We gain strength from acknowledging our shared experiences.

  • Loss impacts the entire family (siblings, grandparents, etc...)

  • Speaking life into your personal situation has lasting positive effects.

  • Understanding that you are not alone is critical in your journey towards healing and wholeness.

  • You have something unique and special to contribute to this world.

  • Finding purpose happens when you truly reflect on your pain and use those lessons to serve others.

Thank you for meeting me here, we're on this journey of healing together. Blessings from my household to yours.

Healing is not a cure; no cure exists for grief.

Healing doesn't mean painless. The pain of grief never goes away.

Healing doesn't mean forgetting. A loved one will stay in your heart forever.

Healing means facing the future with acceptance, gratitude, and hope.
